The purpose of this office is to provide every student with equitable access to financial literacy education. I recognize that many students, myself included, did not grow up with the privilege of learning about money management or other essential skills like personal finance. Hence I intend on working collaboratively with the Merage Business School and Center for Investments and Wealth Management to host panels aimed at providing students with world class education in terms of financial wellness. I also plan for the commission to host monthly workshops regarding different financial literacy topics that are prevalent to UCI students, and provide a counseling service aimed at aiding students in their process of achieving financial independence.
