As President I plan on working with the FRESH Basic Needs Hub to provide reliable access to affordable and nutritious food as well as educate students on the meaning of food insecurity as it will shed light on this oftentimes overlooked social issue. Similarly, I want to continue the Zot Out Hunger campaign, with the FRESH Hub in order to provide students who are food insecure with meal swipes that they can use on our campus’ dining locations.

I want this commission to work actively with the Office of the President’s Student Health and Wellness coalition to raise awareness about the importance of food security with our physical, spiritual, and mental health, and host workshops that provide students with the information they need to obtain healthy and affordable meals on our campus.
