The Office of the President Basic Needs Coalition is one that is near and dear to my heart. For the past decade I’ve worked to provide for these insecurities both at home in Thailand and here at UCI. As President, I want to continue my commitment to expanding UCI’s safety net and ensure that no student goes hungry or houseless on our campus. I will work to establish programs that provide students who are undergoing housing crises with temporary housing and aid them in the process of finding permanent housing accommodations. I will also work collaboratively with the FRESH Basic Needs Hub in order to continue the campaign of Zot Out Hunger at UCI.

I want to also work collaboratively with our ASUCI’s External Vice President Branch to lobby our local, state, and federal government to increase funding towards these basic needs. Once again, I believe that NO ONE in our school deserves to go hungry or houseless, and I want to make sure that this goal is a reality in my time at UCI.
